Helpful Tips When Your Package Arrives
Your items were shipped with either dry ice or gel packs to help keep them at the optimal temperature. Here are some helpful tips on how to properly handle products and shipping materials when your package arrives.
If Dry Ice is Included
If dry ice remains in the cooler, please Do NOT touch the remaining dry ice with bare hands! Instead, leave it in the cooler in an area with good ventilation and allow it to evaporate.
If Gel Packs are Included
REUSE: Rinse off the gel pack and store in the freezer to reuse
DISPOSE: Cut open gel pack along the top seal, pour non-toxic, 100% drain safe contents into a drain with running water
PLANT FOOD: Dilute 1 teaspoon gel solution with 1 gallon water before applying to indoor or outdoor plant
Freezing and Thawing
As long as your items are refrigerator cold when they arrive they may be refrozen. However, raw chicken and seafood items should NOT be refrozen. Instead, store in the refrigerator and prepare within 3-5 days of arrival.
